Every stage ends with something you can see and approve before the next one starts, so there are no surprises at launch. Copywriting, photography and logo design aren’t included by default; we’ll quote them separately if you need them.

  4. Launch: Google Search Console and your Business Profile, handed over in your name.
  5. Day 30 and day 90: we show you your first Search Console numbers and what they mean.

What we’ll never promise

  • A #1 spot or page one on Google. Nobody can honestly guarantee it, and Google says so itself.
  • Quick results. SEO usually takes four to twelve months, so monthly SEO runs for at least three months.

What you get. A review of your website by a person, not just a tool. We look at how fast it loads on a phone, whether everyone can use it, where you show up on Google, and how quickly a visitor understands what you do. You get a short written report by email, with the five changes we’d make first, in order.

What we need from you. Your website’s address and an email address. If you like, a line on what you want the site to do better. We don’t need passwords or access to anything.

What happens next. You’ll see a confirmation as soon as you send it. We review your site by hand and email you the result within five working days. If you’d like to talk it through afterwards, just reply. There’s no obligation.

Daniel started Studio Pause in Pretoria in 2026, growing it from a background in graphic design and a passion for combining creativity, technology and thoughtful design into meaningful digital experiences. The name is the method: we pause long enough to understand what your website has to do, then design and build it with care. You talk to the people doing the work, from the first call to launch day.

Fair question. We don’t have years of client work to show yet, so we make our thinking easy to check: our process is on this page, and the free audit lets you see how we work on your own site before you commit to anything. Every quote is a fixed price in writing, you approve each stage before we move on, and you own everything we make for you.

Every business needs something a little different, so we don’t sell websites off a shelf. The price depends on how many kinds of page you need, how much content there is and what the site connects to. The quickest way to a real number is a free 20‑minute fit call: we learn what you need, tell you honestly whether we’re the right studio for it, and send a fixed quote in writing within two working days. Either way, you’ll leave the call with ideas you can use. We’re in our opening months, so projects booked now are quoted at our opening rates.

Nobody can honestly promise that, and Google says so itself. What we promise is the work. Every site we build launches search-ready, with Google Search Console and your Google Business Profile set up in your name. Monthly SEO adds steady work from there: Business Profile posts, a new page or article aimed at what your customers search for, fixes, and a plain-English report on what changed. SEO is slow, usually four to twelve months before it shows, so monthly SEO runs for at least three months. A five-page business site usually takes four to six weeks from the first call to launch. A shop takes six to ten weeks. The thing that most often slows a project down is content, so we plan words and images with you in week one, not the week before launch.

A website you own outright: the domain, the code, the design files and the content. Your team gets editing access, a recorded walkthrough of how to update the site, and short written notes on how it’s built. For 30 days after launch we fix anything that isn’t working as agreed, at no charge.

Often, yes. The audit shows whether a redesign, a rebuild or a few targeted fixes makes most sense, and we’ll recommend the smallest change that does the job.

Yes. We work with businesses anywhere in the world over video calls and email, and meet in person around Pretoria and Johannesburg. South African time overlaps most of the UK and European working day and the US East Coast morning, so we’re easy to reach. Clients abroad get their quote in their own currency.
